ARMOND BERCIER Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, it is with regret that we announce the death of Armond Bercier on Friday, January 18, 2008, at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 56 years. Remaining to cherish Armond's memory are his beloved wife of 33 years Marlene; daughters, Crystal, Cheryl (Mido (Mohamed) Hammond) of Montreal; and son Michael. He is also survived by his sister Linda (Morley Whitmore) of Dowling, Ontario; brother Ray (Brenda); sister Marlene Hayward (Gord); brother Ron (Rita) of Calgary; brother Doug of Calgary; sister Roseanne of Calgary; brother Joey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and of course many friends. Armond was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Florence and sisters, Roselle and Claudette. Armond will be remembered for his sense of humour, generosity, and loving nature. If he wasn't in his garage fixing cars or motors, he'd be tinkering in his garden which he always kept just so. His love of food from gardening passed on to the kitchen where he was always trying something new. He and Marlene would spend days canning pickles and hot peppers which he loved to give to family and friends. A funeral service for Armond will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Avenue (corner of Mount Royal Road and Ness Avenue). For those who wish, additional parking will be available in the Seventh Day Adventist Church parking lot located on Ness Avenue. A special thank you to all of Armond's and Marlene's family and friends for their ongoing support and love. In lieu of flowers donation in Armond's memory may be made to the charity of ones choice. If you want to be happy, Begin where you are, Don't wait for some rapture That's future and far. Begin to be joyous, begin to be glad And soon you'll forget That you ever were sad.
