Mom was born in Winnipeg and grew up on the family farm in Rosewood, MB. Mom's goal as a young woman was to further her education and become a teacher. She finished high school at the convent in St. Anne's, MB and went on to be come a permit teacher during the Second World War. Mom went on to Normal School and was certified. She taught in both one-room schools and in city classrooms until her marriage in 1955. Four children followed within the next four years. Family was mom's main focus over the years. Mom was the embodiment of unconditional love and each of us felt her love. The family would like to thank St. Boniface Emergency Room for their initial care of Mom, but most of all to the wonderful caring staff of MICU. Thanks to Lori, Lynn, Kim, Sean, Jennifer, Marcel, Jonathan, Leo, Ian and Gary, Dr. Gianelli and Dr. Garland, and all of the other MICU staff too numerous to mention. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice may be made in mom's name. Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 885-9715
