TERRY STEPANOW Terry Stepanow , beloved husband of Norine Goulet, passed away on January 19th at the St. Boniface Hospital after a long struggle following surgeries. Terry was predeceased by his first wife Inga, parents Peter and Mary Stepanow, and brothers Tom and Jacob. Along with his wife Norine, Terry leaves to cherish his memory, step-son Lorne (Janet) Goulet and their children, Jason and Dana, sister Pauline, niece Debra and her son Garrett of Peachland BC brothers, Tom of Gimli, Paul of Edmonton, sister- in- law Edith of Merritt, BC and numerous nieces nephews and friends. Terry was born March 10, 1932 in Red Rose, MB. Where he grew up on the family farm. After many years working at various jobs in a lot of different areas, he got employment with Transair, and subsequently with Pacific Western Airlines, which later became Canadian Airlines and finally Air Canada. He was very proud of the 25 years he worked in the Cargo/Baggage Dept and cherished the friendship and respect he had from all his co- workers. Terry continued his interest in the family farm in Dallas and had cattle there until 2005 when ill health and BSE crisis forced him to sell the cattle. Terry was a life member of St. Sebastian Archery Club, and was very proud of his achievements and trophies, and enjoyed the friendship of all the members, and the competitions with other archery clubs. Terry was a very kind and gentle man, who enjoyed life, people and his home at Oakbank and the time he had with wifey Norine was wonderful, but all to short. Terry had many good times with friends up in Dallas and Fisher River who will all miss him greatly. He will be greatly missed by his little poodle Teddy, Norine and her family and very special neighbours Martha and Rod and Christie Mitenko, who were like his children. A very big thank you to all the neighbours and friends for their kindness over the years and especially during the past few difficult months, also to the medical and nursing staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for the wonderful care Terry received during his long stay there. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Terry's life will be held on Tuesday, January 22 in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel 211 Regent Avenue West at Bond Street at 2:00p.m. Interment and a memorial service will be held in the spring sometime at Dallas/Red Rose.
