NETTIE TOEWS 1921 2008 On the morning of January 19, 2008 our mom died peacefully at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her husband Peter Toews, her parents the Rev. and Mrs. J. J. Andres of Steinbach and sister Nellie. She will be greatly missed by her loving sister Tina of Vineland, Ontario. Also cherishing her memory are her sons Don (Arlene) of Sydney, Australia and Al (Lee) of Landmark, Manitoba, her grandson Steve (Michelle) and her great-grand-daughter Audrey Claire of Sydney, Australia, her granddaughters Kris (Mark) Franken of Sydney, Australia, Sara of Surrey, BC, Rachel of Nakatsu, Japan, four step grandchildren and one step great-grandson. Mom was deeply loved by her many friends and extended family. She was everyone's aunt and a honourary Grandmother to many. The family would like to thank Dr. Darren Reimer, staff of Bethesda Hospital and especially the wonderful caregivers at Cedarwood Manor in Steinbach. A viewing on Thursday, January 24 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main St., Winnipeg. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 25, 2008 at Portage Avenue Church, 1420 Portage Ave. Winnipeg, with interment in Green Acres Cemetery.
