Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVERT INGEMAR EDWARDSSON Born May 12, 1930, in Stabby, Sweden, passed away January 22, 2008. Evert came to Canada in 1952, and was involved in many careers during his life, including livestock, logging, and diesel mechanics. He owned and ran his own Texaco service station for over 17 years in St. Vital, and later, Swedes Restaurant. Besides being passionate about soccer and dancing, other interests included gardening, skiing, travel, and bridge. He is survived by Mary, his wife of 50 years, children Anne and Ken, grandchildren Jane and Owen, brothers Olle and Len, sisters Gerd, Mai, Karin, and Torborg, in-laws Margaret Ann and Harvey, and all their partners and family, including many nieces and nephews in both Canada and Sweden. A memorial service will be held at Meadowood United Church, 1111 Dakota St., on Saturday, January 26 at 2:30 p.m. followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke or the Alzheimer's Society.
