Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMATTHEW GERALD GENSOREK It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew on January 17, 2008, in Edmonton, Alberta, at the age of 22 years. Matthew is lovingly remembered by his mother Deb Gensorek (nee Bowler), his father Gerald (Jodi), his brother David, his sister Sarah and her son Seth, stepbrother Jeff, grandma Jane Carver, grandparents Bart and Elizabeth Stone, Gord and Linda Adams, great- grandmothers Hazel Bowler, Nellie Gensorek and Ida Stone, uncles Steven Bowler, Brad (Rosie) Stone, Josh (Denise) Stone, Glen Doig, aunt Kathy Bowler, his special friend Erin Armstrong, as well as numerous family and friends. He was predeceased by his grandfathers Garry Bowler and Frank Gensorek, Gigi and Baba Bart, uncle David and aunt Shirley. Matthew attended Calvin Christian School and River East Collegiate and since then has been employed as a Commercial Roofer. He was very active in a variety of sport but particularly hockey. Matthew played on various teams in Winnipeg growing up. His friends were very much a big part of his life and cared for all of them in a unique way. He had a special bond with animals, especially his cat Spencer. He enjoyed the best life had to offer. The family would like to thank Matthew's relatives, friends and everyone who have supported us during our time of sorrow. A viewing will be held from 7:00 till 9:00 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2008, at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons Street. A celebration of Matthew's life will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at the Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 653 Knowles Ave. Viewing will begin at 12:00 noon until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvin Christian School, 245 Sutton Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2G 0T1 (338-7981).
