MARY BEATRICE RYAN (nee WALKER) February 13, 1912 - January 20, 2008 With a deep sense of loss we announce the death of our much-loved Mary / Mary B. / Ga on January 20, 2008, at the Grace Hospital. Our energizer bunny lived life to the fullest. She celebrated her friendships and had the wonderful ability to connect with anyone of any age. But her true reason for being was her family. Predeceased by her husband, Dr. George Ryan; and brothers, Alec and Buck Walker. She is survived by her brother Tom (Gail). Mary will be dearly missed by her daughters, Anne (Ross) McIntyre and Pat Solmundson (Michael Wiley). Ga was a true friend, inspiration and role model for her five grandchildren, Meredith McIntyre (Mark Kleinholz), Tim (Karen) McIntyre, Alix McIntyre MacLeod, Signi Solmundson (Ken Veldman) and Kara Solmundson (Chris Hoeschen). She delighted in her five great-grandchildren, Connor MacLeod, Tegan and Reid McIntyre, Magnus Solmundson Veldman and Finn Solmundson Hoeschen. She will be remembered for her truly positive take on life. To her a stranger was simply a person not yet met. In her memory we ask that you smile at someone you don't know and perhaps show some simple kindness that may brighten someone's day. The family would like to thank her special friend at The Wellington, Dan Millican, the staff of 3 South at the Grace Hospital, and her physician and friend, Candace Bradshaw. A celebration of Mary's life will be held on Friday, January 25, 2008, at 3:30 p.m. at St. George's Crescentwood Anglican Church, 168 Wilton Street. Flowers are gratefully declined.
