Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHIRLEY ANN WRIGHT (nee CAMERON) Peacefully on January 22, 2008, with family by her side, Shirley passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 75. Shirley is survived by Dick, her devoted husband of 51 years; her four children, Dawn Torbiak (Dan), Danny Wright (Lorrie), Sid Wright, and Bruce Wright (Gloria). She will be missed by her grandchildren Lindsay, Andrew, Allison, Sydney, and Kylie. Shirley is also survived by her siblings, Florence Smith (George), Ken Cameron (June), Lynn Hannibal (Dave Spelay), and Pat Maguire, as well as brothers-in-law John Wright (Margaret), Bob Wright (Irene), and Peter Wright (Joan). Shirley was born on July 10, 1932 in Woodlands, Manitoba. She attended Success Business College and worked for Canada Customs until marriage to Dick in 1956. Together they raised their family in West St. Paul. Later, Mom worked for the West and East St. Paul municipalities. Shirley loved to spend time with her family. She was an accomplished pianist, baker, and needle crafter. She enjoyed reading, watching old movies, listening to music, and her trips to the east coast, Vancouver and Regina. Despite declining health due to Parkinson's disease, Shirley was cheerful and accepted her situation without complaint. Her family and friends will fondly remember her quiet sense of humour. Her family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Middlechurch Nursing Home. Special thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses who attended to Shirley in the palliative and intensive care units at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street. Interment to follow in St. Paul's Middlechurch Anglican Church Cemetery.
