MARGARET HNYBIDA Peacefully on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 with her family at her side Margaret Hnybida aged 84 years passed away at Rosewood Lodge in Stonewall. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Steven; two sons Gordon and Steven; and grandson Paul. Left to cherish her memory are her children Sharon (Ray), Doug (Annie), Allan, Linda (Pat); daughter-in-law Krystle; sister Mary of Dundee, Scotland; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members. Born on June 9, 1923 in Dundee, Scotland. Margaret was a member of the R.A.C. stationed in London, England. She came to Canada as a war bride living in Brandon and eventually settling in Stonewall, MB. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 52 in Stonewall. Margaret enjoyed all Legion activities, whether it was listening to the bands, playing bingo or doing crafts. The family would like to thank the staff at Rosewood Lodge for their wonderful care and compassion. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 29 at 11:00 a.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Mr. Jeff Navarro will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
