Ray was born on May 20, 1937 at St. Boniface Hospital. He married Patricia on July 2, 1960 and over the next six and a half years they had five children. Ray was a hard worker and a good provider for his family. He worked at St. Boniface Hospital until his retirement in 2003. Ray was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1983. He worked hard to overcome the many obstacles that MS forced him to face. He made the most of his time and was a very patient man. Ray was a lifetime member of the Dubuc Social Club. He enjoyed curling, bowling, camping and especially playing 500. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Many times Ray would be on the floor playing with his children and then later with his grand-children. When his MS progressed the grandchildren would always spend time with grandpa on his lap where they were hugged and often tickled. Ray spent the last three and a half years at Riverview Health Centre where he was loved and cared for by many. Our heartfelt thanks to all his homecare workers, the staff at St. Boniface Hospital, Deer Lodge and Riverview Health Centres. They looked after Ray over the many years he suffered with MS. He is at peace now. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2008 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street with viewing one half hour prior to service.
