ELSIE MELINDA DARLING (nee SCHARF) 1914 - 2008 On Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Pembina-Manitou Health Centre Elsie Darling, aged 93 years of Manitou, MB formerly of La Riviere, MB passed quietly to be with her Lord and Saviour. Elsie was born October 21, 1914 on her parents' farm east of La Riviere, MB the daughter of the late Percy and Rhoda Scharf. She married Kelvin Darling in December 1935. She leaves to mourn her passing one daughter, Helen Ruth and Geoff Kuyper; one son, Dennis and Trya Darling of La Riviere; six granddaughters; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson as well as two sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kelvin (1995); daughter, Joyce Schmidt and all seven of her siblings. Viewing will be at the Chapel prior to the service only. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, 1050 Thornhill St. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery in La Riviere.
