Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIVAN TREVOR BRUYERE Tragically, on Thursday, January 17, 2008, Ivan Trevor Bruyere aged 34 of Sagkeeng First Nation departed from this life. He leaves to cherish his memory, his beautiful children Brent and Brooke; his father Calvin; his siblings Neil (Angie), Connie (Curtis), Blake (Linda), Corinne, Theresa, Roland (Colette), Rhoda, Moira (Lyle), and Brunson; his partner Shelly and her four children; his godmother Annette; his godsons Lou and Joel; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Trevor was predeceased by his mother Alma; maternal grandparents Angele and William; paternal grandparents Minnie and Alex; brother-in-law Denny; godfather Ron; and other numerous relatives. He graduated from high school in 1990. Trevor was a heavy equipment operator and certified welder. He was previously employed with MZ Contractors for many years. His love of sports included lacrosse, hockey, basketball and horseshoes as he will always be remembered for his positive go hard or go home attitude . He was an avid lacrosse player wearing #11 for the Ojibway Nationals. Trevor was very proud of his children and loved watching his son Brent play hockey. The family would like to thank the RCMP Dive Team for their tremendous recovery efforts; Sagkeeng Chief Donovan and Council members, Greg Dorland, and Paul Guimond for their assistance; and special thanks to aunts Joan and Terry for their constant love and support. The family acknowledges Manitoba Hydro for their responsive efforts while the search was being conducted. The family would also like to thank the snow removal team; the fire keepers; and all of the people for their donations and prayers. A memorial service in honour of his life will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the Victoria Beach Sports Club commencing at 2:00 p.m with a lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund will be made for his children at the local South Interlake Credit Union. Trevor will be sadly missed and forever loved by all who knew him.
