DENNIS DRUL It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden loss of Dennis, our much-loved husband, Dad, Gigi, brother and friend on January 23, 2008 at the St. Boniface Hospital. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 20 years, Shirley, his children Bev (Sid), Vince (Monica), Dainna, Lisa (Pat), Lylah (Michael), Cheryl (Jason), and his grandchildren Eryn, Liam, Katie, Charlotte, Mikayla, Eric, Rachel, Shannon and Julia. Dennis will also be missed by his brothers, sisters, extended family and friends. Dennis' talents are evident in everything he pursued; from his love of woodworking to his fascination with electronics and photography. In his early years, Dennis learned to play the guitar by ear, recorded and played with the Polka Drifters and Interlake Polka Kings. Later, his inquisitive mind led him to create a machine to test the strength of steel samples and the development of his business, Drul Technology. Dennis retired from his career working in the Civil Technology Department at Red River College three years ago. In his retirement, Dennis enjoyed traveling and just being home with Shirley. Dennis and Shirley shared a love that was unconditional, and that love was freely shared with everyone they knew. He will be remembered for his generosity of spirit, his patience, his wealth of knowledge, his meticulous problem solving, his sparkling blue eyes and love of nature. His grandchildren will especially miss having a snuggle with Gigi in his favourite chair by the window. The family would like to extend special thanks to the responding fire/paramedics and the emergency/cardiac teams at the St. Boniface General Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2008 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Wildlife Federation. Always on my mind and forever in my heart. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
