PATRICIA (PAT) CHANNON (nee PAICE) Patricia (Pat) Channon passed away peacefully on January 25, 2008 at the Maples Personal Care Home. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband of 65 years, Ken, daughter Linda Wilson (Rick); son Ken (Leonie), grandsons Marcel and Noel, granddaughters, Laura and Nicole, great grandchildren Daniel, Hannah, and Parker. Pat found her handsome and loving Airforce man and later married him on January 31, 1942. She then moved to England for several years and returned back to her roots in the North end of Winnipeg to live until her passing. Pat was a caring, independent person who provided support to her family her whole life. She showed great strength and always had a positive attitude. She enjoyed bowling and summers in the garden. Pat was predeceased by her sister Eileen Baker and brothers Bill, Reg and Jack Paice. Our family wishes to thank the staff at the Maples Care Home for their excellent care of our mother and wife. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 29 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave, with interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Winnipeg, Unit 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2.
