JOYCE ELLEN CONRAD With her husband of 55 years by her side, Joyce passed away Saturday, January 26, 2008. Joyce's battle with cancer is over. She will be greatly missed and remembered as a person who loved life and had a wonderful sense of humor. Her passions included her grandchildren, knitting, gardening, cooking and her owls. Memories of her life will be cherished by her husband Clarence; and her sister Carol Young of Dartmouth NS, children Paul (Patty), Beverley (Leonhard), Patricia (Marshall), Everett (Cheryl); grandchildren, Sarah Jane (Sam), Michaela (Mark), Anna, Trevor, Leanne, Sheri, Ryan, Jason, Christopher, David, Kayla; and great-grandchild Nicolas. Joyce was predeceased by her parents Ross and Patricia Young and her sister Colleen Tait of Dartmouth NS. A celebration of Joyce's life will be held on Thursday January 31 at 2:00 p.m. at Mackenzie Funeral Home 433 Main St., Stonewall, MB. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cancercare Manitoba, P.O. Box 2248 Station Main, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9 or to Southwest District Palliative Care, Inc. P.O. Box 1282 Stonewall, Manitoba R0C 2Z0 Our sincerest thanks to the doctors and nurses of Cancer Care units in Winnipeg.
