EDGAR ARANDA MATUSALEM July 18, 1951 - January 25, 2008 Suddenly, with his family at his side Edgar passed away on January 25, 2008 at the age of 56. Edgar was predeceased by his parents David and Josefina Matusalem; brothers David Jr, Franco, and Roger; sisters Norma and Daisy. Edgar will be sadly missed by his loving wife Sally; daughter Johanni-Marie; son Edgar Jr., brothers Leo (Vicky), Rogelio (Nelia) and Daniel (Loida); sisters Nora Agonoy and Myrna (Meneleo) Dejarme. He will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in Winnipeg and all over the world. Edgar came to Canada in 1974 and has worked at Boeing Canada for many years. Edgar worked hard; he was generous and thoughtful, sending his brothers and sisters in the Philippines to school. He enjoyed singing, cooking, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with his family and his dog Sonny. Lamay will be held on Friday, February 1, and Saturday February 2, from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 4, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church, 818 Arlington St., with an interment to follow at Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery and reception at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home.
