Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDNA LEE After a long and full life, and with family by her side, it is with our deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our amazing mom and gramma on Sunday, January 27, 2008. We believe God sent a very special person down to earth on March 2, 1919 and wanted her to touch the lives of all the people who crossed her path. Her name was Edna and she was ours for 88 years. She was our pillar of strength, our shelter in a storm, and the one we tried to measure our lives against. The greatest compliment we could pay our mom was that we wanted to raise our kids like she raised us. She worked hard all her life, became a second mom to a lot of people and took a lot of people under her wing. If it was advice you needed or just a listening ear, you could turn to her. She was our #1 supporter in any sport we participated in and in her later years took up a sport herself, bowling. She loved it and won numerous trophies and made many friends. She had a smile that made people smile and want to be around her. She lived in the St. Vital area for many years, and owned the Canada Lunch and Lee's Confectionery. The memories of her life will be cherished by her daughter, Thelma Lopushniuk (husband John), and sons Larry (wife Tracy), John (wife Patti), and Roy (wife Tanice); grandchildren Tammy (husband Will), Lenny, Aurora, Kai, Corey, Katrina, Zachary, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband David, son Dean, mother and father, Annie and Colin Wilson, and brothers and sisters, Alec, Bella, Gordon, Fred, Wilfred, Jenny, Johnny, and Edward. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital, as well as the Springfield EMS for the excellent care given to our Mom and Gramma. A prayer service will be held on Friday, February 1 at the Peguis Community Hall from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., with Rev. Barry Bear officiating. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Sterling Mennonite Fellowship, 1008 Dakota Street, at 11:00 a.m., viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Norm Voth officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Peguis. Our mom was quite the storyteller so if you have a story you would like to share with us or send condolences, please go to www.passagesmb.com Arrangements Entrusted To: Ashern, Manitoba 1-866-293-4951
