Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEPHEN JAMES KENDALL December 24, 1954 - January 29, 2008 After a brief battle with stomach cancer, Stephen (Steve) passed away in the presence of his friend, partner and lover of 17 years, Glen Patrick Hoban. He is survived by his mother Louise Mary Kendall (nee Delahunty), his friends, and his co-workers at the Norwood Hotel, where he was a chef, many of whom were very fond of him. He is prede ceased by his father, Frederick James Kendall. Steve spend his childhood as a 'forces brat'. His great loves in life were knowledge, learning, skill, books and the Divine. Stephen was one of the founders of the Winnipeg Pagan community in the late 1980s. He spoke a few times on the Peter Warren show, and was for a time editor of The Minstrel magazine. He was writing a book which was to distill his decades of experience with the Divine. There will be a memorial service at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue, Aubrey Street entrance Saturday, February 2 at 10:00 a.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the charity of the donor's choice may be made in lieu of flowers.
