MARGARET BERNICE LATTA (THOMPSON) Peacefully on January 26, 2008, Peggy left us. Predeceased by her husband Ralph Colin Latta in 1979, she is lovingly remembered by her daughter Carol Newbound and grandson Gowan of Winnipeg, her son Colin Latta and his wife Liz Rannie, granddaughter Kristie, grandson Sean of Winnipeg, her son Brian Latta and his wife Judy LeBlanc, grandson Ben and granddaughter Tasha of Victoria, British Columbia. Peggy was born May 21, 1921, in Yarmouth, NS. In keeping with her wishes, her ashes will be returned to her beloved Brier Island, Nova Scotia, where she spent her childhood. A special thank you is extended to the staff of the Charleswood Care Centre for their care and compassion. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral. Our Mother had a deep, lifelong kinship with all animals. Those wishing to honour her memory may make a donation to the Humane Society of Winnipeg.
