JAMES (JIM) MILLINCHUK On January 24, 2008 at the age of 82, Jim, formerly of Sandy Lake, Manitoba, passed away at Concordia Hospital. He is survived by his sisters, Katherine Stacherski of Fremont, California, Rose Podruski and Evelyn Batenchuk of Winnipeg. He also leaves nephews and nieces Jim Podruski of Calgary, David Trudgen (April) of Morpeth, Ontario, Randy Millinchuk, Tim and Reg Batenchuk, Kelly Rempel (Neil) and Colleen Batenchuk-Dudzinski (Ken) of Tyndall, Manitoba, as well as grandnephew and nieces, Brittany and Wesley Millinchuk, Tessa Trudgen and Katie Dudzinski. He was predeceased by his parents Steve and Sophie Millinchuk, brother Nick and sister Helen Trudgen. In his retirement Jim enjoyed gardening, cooking and playing cards. He had a great passion for history and geography and drove extensively throughout Canada and the U.S.A. to satisfy those interests. Failing health curtailed his activities and independent spirit. He will be fondly remembered by his family for his kindness, generosity and dry sense of humour. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held in the spring. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
