JOSHUA GABRIEL IWASIUK We are devastated to announce the tragic passing of our son and brother Josh on Saturday, January 26, 2008. Josh was born on September 17, 1988 in Selkirk, Manitoba Leaving behind to cherish his memory are his parents, Jerry and Charlene; brothers, Jerry Jr. and Jessie; sisters, Michelle (Adam Polkowski) and Jamie (Trevor Monkman); nephews, Cory, Anthony and Trevor Jr.; nanny Sarah Webb and grandpa Charlie LaVallee; Godparents, Bob and Cindy Poitras; also many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends too numerous to mention, but he loved them all. Josh enjoyed playing baseball, going as far as forming a slow pitch team with his friends and family, naming us the Youngbloods. We had a blast! He loved paint-balling with his friends and family, going every chance they could. They would come home bruised and laughing, always having a good time. Camping, fishing and golfing were other great times he had with his family and friends. We were never good at golfing but we sure had fun trying. Music was another passion, always burning new songs (usually getting Adam or Trevor to do it for him). Going to Jerry Jr.'s jam session along with singing and dancing around the house (and in the stores) with Jessie. Never a dull moment. Now he sings with the Angels, man I bet they're having fun. Josh liked to have long talks with Michelle and Adam as they walked their dogs, Sasha and Hunter, Josh's furry buddies. He loved to wrestle and play with his nephews when he would go and visit Trevor and Jamie. Even though it sometimes gave her a headache, she never complained. Filling his living-room with his buds and bros playing Call of Duty 1-4, and other X-box and PS2 games. Roars of laughter rising up from downstairs. Poker nights with his buds, there wasn't enough of those nights. Band of Brothers over and over and other war movies. These came after the little green army men and army games with his friends and brothers as a child. Sunrises, sunsets, the sound of water slapping the shore, all of nature was beauty in his eyes and sharing it with others was his joy. Living life to the fullest, laughing, sharing, giving and loving everyone, THAT WAS JOSH. So take the love and joy he has shared and gave you and pass it on. Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. A celebration of Josh's life will be held on Tuesday, February 5 at 2:00 p.m. in the Christ Anglican Church, 227 McLean Ave. in Selkirk with The Rev. Brad Elliott officiating. A viewing will be held at the Church prior to services. Cremation will follow. Tears of Sorrow Tears of sorrow, they fall Your name Josh, still we call Your face we continue to see Your smile touched us all, friends and family You were a light and a friend to all you knew There was never a thing for us you wouldn't do You met each day with your big smile You had your way with the girls... had to be your style We love you and miss you more each day We know you're with God still smiling away Now we are left with just our thoughts Memories of you just don't seem enough. • My brother was one of the most nicest people you'd ever meet, I know alot of people say this but he really would give you the shirt off his back if it made you happy. He was always there to help or lend a hand and would not expect anything in return, all he was concerned about was you. He loved his friends and family with a passion. Although he's gone his love still remains with us all. For the things that are seen are temporary, but the things unseen are eternal.
