Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGIUSEPPINA GIOVANNA FIORENTINO (nee MAURO) Peacefully on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at the West Park Manor, Giovanna Fiorentino passed away at the age of 89 years. Giovanna was born on July 24, 1918 in Amato, Catanzaro, Italy and came to Canada in 1956. She worked in the garment industry for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Fratellanza Amatese and loved participating in the Briscola Tournaments, winning the championship twice. She is survived by her son Alfonso (Hannah) of Winnipeg and daughter Felicia (Phil) of Vancouver; grandchildren Adrian (Nicole), Dean (Barbara), Giovanna, Peter (Anna), Ulrike (Dale), Michele (Terry), Enrico; her sisters, Giuseppina of Winnipeg, Angelina (Francesco) of Italy and Quintina (Giuseppe) of Montreal. She also leaves to cherish her memory her 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. Giovanna was predeceased by her husband Pietro, sister Veronica, brother Antonio and her son-in-law George. Prayers will be said on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, February 4, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Sam Argenziano celebrating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverley Street. Pallbearers will be Adriano Pustulovic, Dean Fiorentino, Enrico Fiorentino, Peter Pastelovic, Peter Grande, Giuseppe Fiorentino. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Scerbo, Angelo Grande, Alfonso Anconici, Darren Cosentino. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, in care of Mosaic Funeral Services, 1839 Inkster Blvd., R2X 1R3.
