Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET (PEGGY) NEUDORF September 21, 1926 January 31, 2008 Very peacefully, with family by her side, on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Rest Haven Personal Care Home, Steinbach, MB, Peggy Neudorf entered her eternal rest. Remaining to forever cherish Peggy's memory are her sons, Brian (Valerie) of Edmonton, Gary of Calgary and Raymond of Winkler; daughters, Dolores Brockmeyer (Bob) of Regina and Linda Johnson (Brian) of Mitchell; as well as her 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, brother Jacob Heide (Mary) and numerous other relatives. She was predeceased by her husband Ike; parents; sister Helen; and her daughter-in-law Roxanne. Born on September 21, 1926 in Great Deer, SK, Peggy was the youngest child of Klaas and Mary Heide. She grew up on a small family farm and spoke with fondness of her early years. Peggy married the love of her life, Isaac Neudorf, on April 16, 1946. Throughout Ike's long military career they moved often and had the opportunity to live in many places, including Calgary, Churchill, Kingston Ont., Gagetown NB, and Germany. They eventually settled in Winnipeg where Ike retired, and they were finally able to put down roots and buy a house of their own in Charleswood. She loved her home and yard and spent many hours working in her garden where she grew the best tomatoes in the world. Her greatest joy was her family and she cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren. Peggy's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 6 at 1:00 p.m. in the Assiniboia Charleswood Community Church, 760 Charleswood Road, Winnipeg. For those who wish, viewing will be held prior to the service. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue. The family would especially like to thank the caring staff and volunteers at Rest Haven for the compassion and loving care they faithfully provided our mom.
