TEJ PAL MALHOTRA It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, on Thursday January 31, 2008 at the age of 79 years. Tej will be lovingly remembered by his wife Viktoria of 41 years; his daughters Sabina (Darryl) and Lalita (Hari); and grandchildren Sydney and Rylan. Tej was born in Gilgit, India on October 27, 1928 and spent most of his youth in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. He traveled Europe settling in Budapest, Hungary where he acquired his mechanical engineering degree from the University of Hungary. It was in Budapest that he met and married his wife Viktoria and their first daughter Sabina was born. In 1970, after spending a year in Germany, the family moved to Winnipeg in hopes of finding a better future. Shortly after, they had their second child Lalita. Tej spent the rest of his career at Bristol Aerospace where he initially worked as a quality assurance inspector and in later years as a project engineer. Tej loved to travel, garden, and spend time with his family. He enjoyed completing household projects, and in recent years, his hobby of winemaking. His greatest pleasure however, was found in his beautiful grandchildren who always brought a smile to his face and a spring in his step. We love you Dad, you will be greatly missed. A private family memorial service will be held at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
