GALLARDO (ALEX) SARCIDA, JR. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, brother, uncle and friend on February 2, 2008 at the age of 56 years old. He was predeceased by his wife Elisa last December; his parents Gallardo Sr. and Agapita Sarcida. We are comforted with the thought that both Papa and Mom are together again. Alex will be missed by daughter Lorraine and his son Gary (April); siblings Julieta (Arturo) Halili, Flora (nephew John) Landreville, Valeriano (Jane) Sarcida, Antonio (Susan) Sarcida and Elvira (Boy) Telada; his sister-in-law Luzviminda Isturis; his niece Alma (Jun and Chale) Pinpin; and many relatives in the Philippines and the States. He was born on October 16, 1951 in Manila, Philippines; he attended Feati University. He immigrated to Canada, settling in Winnipeg to be with his sister Flora in 1973. He met his wife Elisa and were married for 31 years raising two wonderful children. He worked at Versatile Farm Equipment for 21 years. The family wishes to thank Sonny De La Cruz and Cris Villapando for being there during his last moments. Lamay will be held on Thursday, February 7 and Friday, February 8 beginning at 6:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 9 at 10:00 a.m. in St. John Brebeuf Parish Church, 1707 John Brebeuf Place. Interment will follow in Thomson In the Park Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. We will miss you!
