WALTER LODGE JACOBY 1913 - 2008 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of a husband, father, grandfather and brother on February 1, 2008. Left to cherish, his wife of 60 years, Anne, daughter Karen (Jim), twins Michael (Sandra) Stephie and Ali, Patrick (Bernie) Jake and Taryn. Also left to mourn his sisters, Anne, Stella, Jennie, Nettie and Rose. Walter retired in 1978 after 20 years as a custodian for the St. Vital School Division. With O'Malley his dog by his side, Walter enjoyed gardening in the summer. In winter he would pile up snow in the backyard so his grandkids could go tobogganing. He was a quiet man who took pride in whatever he did. Special thanks to Dr. Rick Ross, Dr. John Rabson, Dr. Tim Ross, Dr. Justin Walters and the staff of 6A, St. Boniface Hospital and the DVA. Many thanks to our neighbours Barb and family, Rick and family. I go from you gently for it is my time To take the next step In this journey of mine Don't grieve for me long I've not left you alone For I will be with you In love that we've known That love is forever And some day when it's time You'll join me again On this journey of mine Pappy, you were loved Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date.
