SHELLEY MARIEN (nee HORNSBY) It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the untimely loss of our beloved Shelley, who fought a courageous fight with cancer and peacefully passed at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday, February 4, 2008 at the age of 54 years. Shelley was predeceased by her parents Harold and Elsie Hornsby. She will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband Irv, sons Ryan, Matt (Jayme), grandchildren Jace and Callie, brothers Lloyd (Judy), Cam (Wendy), Doug (Becky), Wade (Jackie), sister-in-law Linda, nieces and nephews Michelle (Tyler), Cristy (Jay), Dwayne, Harley, Jordan, and will be truly missed by Duke. Shelley was employed with Canada Safeway for 30 plus years. She was gifted in arts and crafts, but her true passion was the building with Irv of the family cottage. She loved to travel and spend time with her grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2008 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). In accordance with Shelley's wishes, cremation will follow. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. A big thank you for all the family and friends that gave their loving support when we needed it the most. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shelley's memory to CancerCare Manitoba.
