GEORGE KRETCHMER February 10, 1928 February 6, 2008 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, devoted father and grandfather George Kretchmer, four days before his 80th birthday. Remaining to cherish his memory forever is his wife of 53 years, Florence; children, Vicki (Kent), Wanda (Dwayne), Dianne (Rick); grandchildren, Laura (Mike), Samantha, Allison, Bradley and Leah and his special girl, great- granddaughter Tatum. He also leaves to mourn his brother Walter (Esther) and sister Betty (Alvin), as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Emelia. George was born on February 10, 1928 and lived in Seven Sisters all his life. He worked for Manitoba Hydro for 42 and one-half years before retiring in 1988. He was dedicated to his family and friends, community and church. George loved spending time with his family and made weekly trips to the city to spend time with his girls. His intelligence and impeccable memory were enjoyed by all. He treasured the time he spent with his wife they were never apart. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He saw beauty and purpose in all things God created. He has left a legacy of love and memories we will never forget. The family would like to thank Dr. Zeiler and staff at the Beausejour Hospital for their care and compassion. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour, with Pastor G. Gaensler officiating.
