JAMES (JIM) FREDERICK CUSHMAN It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim, beloved husband of Elizabeth (Betty), on Thursday, February 7, 2008. Left to mourn are his daughters, Ann Mutimer (Ernie) and Judith Kearns (Brian Turner); grandchildren, Caitlin Kowall (Aaron), Aidan Topping, Travis Kearns (Alison), and Tyler Kearns (Katherine); his great-grandchildren, Matthew and Bronwyn Kowall and Mila Kearns; his sisters-in-law, Jean Mitchell of Windsor, Ontario, and Evelyn Fisher of Berkeley, California. Jim was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, on August 28, 1923. He served in the Air Force from 1943 to 1945. He was employed by Kimberly Clark in Niagara Falls and was transferred to Winnipeg in January 1955, retiring in 1983 as Mill Manager. Jim spent many happy hours at the Assiniboine Golf Club, was a member of the Church of St. Stephen and St. Bede, and a member of the St. James Legion. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 11, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Stephen and St. Bede's Church, 99 Turner Avenue. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
