Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARTHUR (ART) JOSEPH PAUL On Sunday, February 3, 2008, after a brief illness, Art passed away peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 67 years. Remaining to forever cherish Art's memory are his wife of 41 years of marriage, Mary - Ann; daughter Michele; son Kevin (Kelly); his side kick George, and mon petite GiGi; sister Denise; brothers, Ernie, Gerry, Albert, Denis, and Bobby; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Arthur senior, mother Adrienne; two brothers Lou and Leo; as well as other family and friends. Art retired in September of 2000 after 23 years of seasonal service with City of Winnipeg. Even after retirement he kept in contact with the boys at the Archibald Yard. He enjoyed gardening, sitting in the backyard in the summer enjoying a cold beer with family and friends. Art also enjoyed visiting the neighbourhood on his power scooter, picking up fresh veggies at Bud's . His greatest moments were spending time with family and friends at the casino and traveling to the USA. A celebration of Art's life is to be determined at a later time. The family wishes to send a special thanks to the staff at St. Boniface Emergency, 5B, 5E, and ICU as well as homecare workers over the years. As well, a very special thank-you to family and friends during this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Art's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation 200 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6, or to the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation, 409 Tache Avenue., Winnipeg, Manitoba R2H 2A6. Michele, My heart goes out to you as you grieve over the loss of your father. Matthew & I pray that you and your family will have strength during this difficult time.
