ETHNA R. B. TAYLOR (nee BEALES) 1918 - 2008 It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of our beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother on February 6, 2008. Ethna was predeceased by her husband Edward (Ted), her mom and dad, and brother Leonard. Mom is mourned and missed by her two daughters Kathy (Gary) Wallace and Lynn (George) Stratton, granddaughter Jody (Curtis) Passmore, grandson Chris (Fredau) Wallace, great-grandchildren Olivia and Cole Passmore and sisters Shirley (Bill) Hobson and Dorothy Wyman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was born in County Cork, Ireland, on July 11, 1918, and came to Canada as an infant. She married Dad in 1942 and spent many happy years together living in the West End and Fort Garry. As a family, many happy years were spent at Grand Beach and later at West Hawk Lake where they had a wonderful group of friends. Mom and Dad enjoyed many holidays in Hawaii and Florida. Hawaii was Mom's favourite spot in the world. Most important to Mom was her family who she cherished dearly. Mom worked for many years for Eatons and Armstrong Flooring, where she made lifelong friends. Mom and Dad belonged to the Fort Garry Kiwanis Club where once again, many life long friends were made. Irish Blessing Prayer May the road rise to meet you May the wind be always at your back May the sun shine warm upon your face The rains fall soft upon your fields And until we meet again May God hold you in the palm of His hand. As expressions of sympathy if friends so wish, donations may be made in Ethna's memory to a charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held Monday, February 11 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 1531 Pembina Hwy. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 1531 Pembina Hwy. 284-7500
