ELISABETH MARINOW It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Elisabeth Marinow on Monday, February 4, 2008 at the age of 85 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Iwan, son John, brother Joseph and her parents. Elisabeth was born in Zavidovic, Jugoslavia on August 11, 1922. She is survived by her son Stefan (Betty) and her daughter Annemarie (George), grandchildren Theresa (Dan), Micheal (Nikki), John, Matthew (Jenelle), and Megan (Shane) as well as her great-grandchildren Shey-Anne, Tyra, Abigail and one on the way. Elisabeth enjoyed spending time with her family in her home in St. Andrews as well as Bingo, trips to Shooting Star, and the occasional drink of Peach Schnapps. Elisabeth was a devoted mother, oma and great oma. She was everyone's oma and loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by everyone. A memorial service will be held in her honour at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 Kimberly Ave. in Winnipeg on Saturday, February 16 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Elisabeth's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
