JOSEPH MORRIS ROMAN March 28, 1914 - January 25, 2008 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Joseph Roman at the Grace Hospital on January 25, 2008. He was predeceased by his parents Sima and Louis Romanovsky, beloved daughter Gail, (1982), and brother Abraham (2000). Left to cherish his memory are Esther, his wife of 65 years, his daughters, Beth (Jerry) Goldenberg, Linda (Levitt) (Elliot) Katz, grandchildren, Jonathan (Sharon), Laura (Shechar), Matthew (Jessica), Leanne (Michael), Sari, Sara and great-grandson Ben. Joe is also survived by five siblings, Raymond, Cyril, Reesa, Mitzi and Aaron. Born in Woodridge, MB, Joe came to Winnipeg to receive his education at an early age. Following his return from serving overseas in 1946, he was involved in many careers, including clothing manufacturing, hotel and restaurant management, and, in his latter years enjoyed Real Estate with his wife Esther. Joe was a fair and compassionate man who genuinely cared for those less fortunate than himself. He was a benevolent and selfless individual who led by example. Above all, his family was always first. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the memories of all who loved him. The family would like to thank Dr. John Rabson for the gift of five years that we were able to enjoy. His care and continuous support will never be forgotten. Thanks to the staff at the Portsmouth and all the home care employees whose love and attention brought him joy each day. May his memory be blessed. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour his memory can make donations to the charity of choice or to the Children's Hospital Foundation, 840 Sherbrook Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
