ALEXANDER ROBERT SARTIN 1916-2008 Peacefully on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 in Concordia Hospital Alexander passed away at the age of 91 years. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Bernice and one brother George. He leaves behind to cherish his memory two daughters, Elaine (David), Grace (Rob), five grandchildren, Alexander, Neal, Katie, Christine, Colin, and many friends. Dad worked for the CNR for many years, retiring at age 55. He was very active in Gordon King Memorial United Church throughout his life. He developed friendships there which he continued with his move to Kildonan House. Dad was a man of great integrity. He was a devoted and loving husband. Fiercely independent, he will be remembered as a person you could count on, when help was needed, he was there. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2008 at Klassen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Alexander's memory to a charity of your choice.
