Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERTRUDE ELIZA GERVAIS (nee DELUDE) March 7, 1918 - February 7, 2008 After a long and full life, with her family at her side, our beloved mother, mémère and great-grandmother passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2008, at Foyer Valade at the age of 89. Gertrude was born in Fannystelle, MB. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening and crafting. Gertrude was predeceased by her much cherished and loved husband Ovila Gervais on March 23, 1988. Left to mourn and cherish her memory are her children Berthe (Hervé) Vermette, Michelle and Paul, Lionel (Michèle) Gervais, Marc, Matthew and Thomas, Alice (Richard) Martel, Roxanne and Rachelle, Denis (Michelle) Gervais, Daniel, Jean-Guy and Julie, Annette (Tom) Westerndorf, Kathryn and Michael, Anita Gervais (Perry), David and Jeremy, Pat (Maurice) Carrière, Chantal and Mélissa. She also leaves seven great-grandchildren, one sister Thérèse Morrisette, of Elie, MB, and one sister-in-law Délina Gervais. She was predeceased by two brothers, Léon and Henri, three sisters, Marie-Joséphine Roy, Jeanne Gervais and Céline Delude. Maman a passé ses dix dernières années sous la garde du personnel dévoué du Foyer Valade et la famille aimerait les offrir leur gratitude et mercis sincères. Je mets ma confiance dans le Seigneur Dieu, qui est plus fort que toi, et je t'ordonne de me libérer. Amen. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 11, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at Eglise Précieux-Sang, 200 rue Kenny, St. Boniface. Gertrude will be laid to rest in Green Acres Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. A reception will follow in the Heritage Reception Room at Green Acres Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gertrude's name to a charity of one's choice.
