Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERALD (GERRY) KENNETH KOLDON (KOLODZIEJSKI) With deepest regrets we announce the passing of my brother, uncle, cousin, Gerald Koldon on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Grace Hospital at the age of 73 years. Remaining to forever cherish Gerry's memory are his brother, Dennis; sister-in-law, Sylvia; nieces and nephews, Anita (John) Raposo; godson Johnny (Chris) Koldon, Linda (Hans) Muth, Marilyn (Rob) Fussey of British Columbia, Terry (Anne) Koldon, Andrea (Grant) Todd, Colleen (Darren) Small of California; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews, which he always fondly called his little munchkins . He will also be sadly missed by Rose Koldon; cousins Mel and Pat Timko, John and Diane Green of Saskatchewan; as well as many other family members and numerous friends, neighbours and the Roseberry Husky staff. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Katherine and John Koldon. Gerry was born in Winnipeg November 21, 1934. He lived in numerous Manitoba farming communities graduating from Winnipeg Beach High School and served the army for two years. In the 60s, Gerry moved into Winnipeg, and started driving truck. He worked for several trucking firms, the last being Star Builders. Gerry was an avid bowler and fisherman. He loved to go fishing with all his fishing buddies. You could always see Gerry at the back of the boat with rod in hand and a stogie in his mouth, just waiting for the big one to bite. With family in attendance, prayers were held in his home Monday, February 4, 2008. A gravesite service will be held at a later date. The announcement will be posted in the Winnipeg Free Press. We would like to thank Diane and John Green for conducting the prayer service. We would also like to thank the staff of Grace Hospital, 5th floor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gerry's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6 or to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 4G2.
