Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySIMONE T. SHERBY (nee BRABANT) November 5, 1919 February 8, 2008 At the age of 88, after a short illness, Simone passed away peacefully on Friday at the Taché Centre. Left to cherish her memory are her devoted son, Richard and his wife, Leigh, and her beloved grandchildren, Dana (Jon) and Michael. She also leaves one sister, Alice Warren. In 1985, Simone was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph. She was also predeceased by her parents, her sisters, Lucille, and Annette, and her brothers, Dollard and Rosario. Simone was devoted to her son and grandchildren, and would happily tell anyone who would listen, that they were absolutely perfect . Her other passion in life was shopping. On any given day, she could be found walking the Malls in St. Vital or Polo Park. She was a very friendly lady who loved to talk and she made friends wherever she went. Simone worked in the gift-wrap department at The Timothy Eaton Store, downtown for many years. She took great pride in buying gifts for her family and friends and making sure that they were beautifully wrapped. Christmas was her favourite time of year and she would spend countless hours shopping for the perfect gifts. The family would like to thank the staff at Taché Centre for their kind and attentive care of Mom. We are very appreciative of the compassion shown to the family in the last hours of her life. A memorial Service with The Rev. Geoffrey Woodcroft officiating will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 830 North Drive, at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, February 13, 2008. Flowers gratefully declined. If you wish to honour her memory, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
