JAMES (JIM) ALFRED TAYLOR January 5, 1952 February 3, 2008 On Wednesday, January 30, Jim was flown to London University Hospital in Ontario to receive a long awaited heart transplant, his second chance at life. Due to complications this was not meant to be and he passed away at the young age of 56 years on Sunday, February 3, 2008. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 37 years, Brenda; daughter, Rebecca and husband Wally; brother, Doug and wife Sherry; his greatest joys, his granddaughters, Ariel, Danielle and Karlee; both his Aunt Elsie's; Brian (Deb), Bruce (Linda) and Sharon; nephews, nieces and extended family, Larry (Carol), Jim (Rena), Judy and their families. There to meet him with outstretched arms in his heavenly home are his son, David; parents, David and Elizabeth; and inlaws, Neil and Mona Kliewer. Jim met his soul mate Brenda forty years ago February 2 on a blind date. They fell in love and started their life together. Out of their love came two children. David, who lived life to the fullest and left him with two wonderful grandchildren, Danielle and Karlee, the sunshine of his life. Rebecca, who has been his light and inspired him to fight for life, made him proud and gave him Ariel who made him laugh since the day she was born. Jim was thankful toWally who made living with his limitations and knowing his girls were looked after easier. Jim had a loving heart and made friends with all he met. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, golfing and spending time with family and friends. Jim had many careers in his short life time. Carter Motors (Delivery) in the early years, Winnipeg Transit (Bus Driver), High Tree (Lumber Jack), Transx (Truck Driver), Crown Transportation (Driver), Ryerson Metals (Warehouse Manager) and now the most important job, Guardian Angel to those he loved. A memorial service for Jim will be held on Saturday, February 16 at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Michael and All Angels Church, 300 Hugo St. at Mulvey, with The Rev. Canon A. M. L. Klassen officiating. We would like to thank EMS Services, RM of MacDonald; all the staff at St. Boniface Hospital CCU; transport Doctor Allen Schaffer and Nurse Blake Morgan; Dr. Shelley Zieroth; transplant nurse Shari Barker; Pacemaker staff and all the staff at London University Hospital for their wonderful care.
