Peter is survived by his immediate family, loving wife Heather, son Waren (Kim), daughter Sherry and grandson Ryan. Also surviving Peter is his brother Dave (Lorraine) of Calgary, sister Anne of Morden and sister Helen of Kelowna, as well as many nieces and nephews. Peter was born on a small farm outside of Morden, Manitoba, where he spent his formative years. In the Second World War he served in the Navy from 1939 through 1945. After the war Peter met the love of his life, Heather Hurry and was married on January 9, 1954. Peter was a faithful member of the Calvary Temple Church. He was employed until he retired at the age of 65 by Winnipeg Hydro where he was a journeyman electrician. Peter was known by friends and family as Mr. Fix-it and could repair anything from a broken carburetor to a pair of worn out moccasins. Peter had a strong faith that showed through in all aspects of his humble life. Many thanks to the staff at Misericordia Place for their caring and compassion. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. Sleep in heavenly peace.
