ROY MARCEL LAVALLEE Suddenly on February 9, 2008, in Winnipeg, Roy Marcel Lavallee, beloved husband of 44 years to Lorna Lavallee, passed away at the age of 78 years. Roy was born on January 27, 1930, and raised on the family farm near Chatfield, MB. In 1963 he married Lorna Granberg and they raised three wonderful children. Roy and the family lived in Winnipeg where he worked before retiring from MacDon Industries. Roy is survived by his loving wife Lorna, his son Darrell, his daughters Darlene and Beverly (Wayne), his grandchildren Trisha (Armand) and Tara (Jim), his great-grandchildren Dana, Delaney, Paige and Peyton. Roy is also survived by his sister Lillian Yanciw and brother Ronald (Charlotte) Lavallee. He was predeceased by his son Darrin, his parents Alfred and Rose Lavallee, and his brothers Louis, Arthur, Albert, Gordon and Kenneth. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13 at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main St., Stonewall, MB. Pallbearers will be his nephews Sean, Graeme, Ryan, Kevin, Phillip and Warren Lavallee. Honorary pallbearers will be Ida Holowka, Laura and George Leduchowski, Bill Penny, Cliff Franklin, David Lavallee and Wayne Lavallee. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
