ROMEO MARION Suddenly on February 09, 2008, Roméo passed away at his home at 78 years of age. He is survived by his wife Thérèse, three sons Ron (Nancy), Al, and Gerry (Shelley), as well as two brothers Philibert and Ovide, two sisters Antonia and Dolores. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Amédé, sisters Denise and Lawrence. Roméo was born on September 24, 1929 in St. Elizabeth, MB. He married Thérèse on October 10, 1953 in La Salle, MB. Prior to Roméo's retirement in 1995, he worked for 47 years at Westeel. Roméo spent much of his time volunteering at the churches he attended. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and was involved with Festival du Voyageur and Notre-Dame Arena. Roméo was known as a jack of all trades , enjoyed welding and creating his own inventions. He enjoyed spending his time with his children, cherished his cabin in St. Laurent and most recently enjoyed living in Winnipeg Beach. The family would like to thank the paramedics, RCMP and others for their quick response. Charitable donations in Roméo's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street.
