JORDAN WINTERS CHANGE OF SERVICE LOCATION A native son of Tennessee has gone to reside with Jesus Christ. Jordan Winters was born on February 15, 1917, in Davidson Co., Old Hickory, Tennessee, and was released from this life on January 30, 2008. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Elizabeth Winters, five brothers and one sister. Jordan is survived by his wife May (Rance) Winters, two sons, Dan Davis (Erma) of River Forest, Illinois, Robert Winters of Toronto, and two daughters, Shelley Hooper (Clayton) and Bonnie Winters both of Winnipeg. Also surviving are six grandchildren, (Kenny, Aaron, Sarah, Rachel, Darin, and Candace) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in the U.S. and Canada. Jordan came to Canada in the 1950s to work as a sleeping car porter for C.P.R. passenger service and retired in 1982 from VIA Rail. The celebration of Jordan's life will take place on February 16, 2008, in Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Drive, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 1160 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3E 0V9. The family extends heartfelt thanks to medical and technical personnel at CancerCare and to the doctors, nurses and all the other staff in 3E Riverview Health Centre.
