DOREEN MARJORIE EROS (MARGE) (nee WILDFANG) December 12, 1932 February 9, 2008 Marge Eros passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 9, 2008 with her family by her side. Marge is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Willie Eros, her son Craig (Shelley, Scott, Cherise, Desiree, Dominic, Mike, Karla and Morgan), son Randy (Solange, Diane and Michel), daughter Susan (Rob, Ian, Lyndsay and Dana), daughter Barb (John, Gillian, Devin and Aidan), her two sisters, Edie Person and Barb Lamoureux and their families, her Auntie Anne and Uncle Gerry Hyde. Marge also leaves to cherish her memory many other relatives, members of Willie's family and a wide circle of caring friends and neighbours. Marge was predeceased by her father and mother, Jack and Marion Wildfang (Edwards) and her son Glenn. Marge grew up in Carman, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg after high school to attend Secretarial College. In 1952, Marge and Willie were married and settled down in Transcona where Marge focused on raising her family. She later worked as a nurse's aide at Park Manor Personal Care Home and then for several years in the sewing department at Woolco, retiring in 1985. Marge was a truly special person. She never measured the kindness and generosity with which she lived, a quality that attracted many groups of friends, including Girls Club and Dinner Club to name but two. Even while she was busy raising her family, she spent many years volunteering with the Girl Guides. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and entertaining her family and friends. She adored her grandchildren and, more recently, her great-grandchildren, sharing in their joys, accomplishments and heartaches. The family extends its sincere thanks to all those who have surrounded Marge with so much love over the years. We offer special thanks to the caring staff at CancerCare Manitoba, Concordia Hospital Emergency and the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital. A Memorial Service to celebrate Marge's life will be held at the Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Ave W. on Friday, February 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Jeff Cook presiding. For those wishing to make a donation in lieu of flowers, Marge would appreciate your support for CancerCare Manitoba. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
