Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLGA ANNIE EVA BOGASKI (nee MAZUREN) It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Olga Bogaski, on February 12, 2008 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Ollie will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 66 years, Gustave (Gus) Bogaski and her four children, Sandi Smith (Wayne), Donna Panasis (Doug), Jack Bogaski (Nancy), and Doug Bogaski (Lynn). She will also be remembered by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ollie was born in Pelly, Saskatchewan in 1922, and moved to Winnipeg, where she met and married Gus in 1941. She worked primarily as a salesclerk, spending most of those years at the Paddlewheel Restaurant at Hudson's Bay and later at the Eaton's Mail Order, while raising her four children. Ollie was the Martha Stewart of her time, enjoying many artistic hobbies. She was an excellent seamstress, artist and painter. She loved to knit, crochet, cook, garden, home decorate, and was an avid reader. Above all, Ollie enjoyed preparing delicious meals for special family occasions in her home. After retirement, Ollie and Gus traveled to many places, but especially enjoyed many wonderful holidays in Hawaii with their friends. The family would like to thank the staff at the Middlechurch Home for their constant care and devotion in her latter years. As well, many thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Prayers will be offered at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 250 Burrin Ave. on Thursday, February 14 at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 15, at 10:30 a.m. also at the church with Rev. FR.. Henryk Laciak officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St. Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 or to the Middlechurch Home, 280 Balderstone Rd., West St. Paul, MB, R4A 4A6.
