Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALDA ENID MILLER (nee MCMURRAY) Peacefully, on February 10, 2008, Donnie Miller passed away at the Riverview Health Centre after a lengthy illness. Donnie will be lovingly remembered by her family: Linda and Wayne Paquin, Cathy Miller, Donna Miller and Marc Monnin, all of Winnipeg; grandchildren Karen Paquin of Toronto, Stephen Paquin, Caroline Monnin, and Paul Monnin of Winnipeg; her sister Ruby Thompson of Winnipeg and brother Jim (Isabel) McMurray of Bracebridge, Ontario; sisters-in-law Betty Mackesy of Hamilton, Ontario, Audrey (Joe) Shestko of Winnipeg, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Roy in 2002. Donnie was born in Russell, Manitoba on September 12, 1923 and spent her youth there. She moved to Winnipeg as a teenager and attended Gordon Bell and Winnipeg Business College. She joined the Young People of St. Stephen's Broadway United Church (now Broadway Disciples) and met Roy on the tennis courts. They shared 56 years of marriage. Donnie was a member of Broadway Disciples Church and President of the UCW of St. Stephen's Broadway where she served the church for many years. She was a member of St. Boniface Golf Club, bowled at Coronation Centre and belonged to several bridge clubs. She enjoyed her summers at the family cottage at Matlock. A celebration of Donnie's life will be held on Friday, February 15, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Ray Cuthbert presiding. Flowers are gratefully declined. The family would like to thank the staff of Riverview 3E for their wonderful care of Donnie during her last two weeks.
