ALEXANDER JOSEPH PASKARUK July 18, 1932 - February 11, 2008 After a courageous battle with cancer our father Alex passed away February 11, 2008 at the age of 75 years. He was predeceased by his wife of 38 years Joan, his parents, John and Anna Paskaruk; his sister Mary, and his brother Nick. He will be greatly missed and his memory cherished by his sons, Rick (Pat), Rod (Kelli), his brother Bill (Sylvia), Frank (Sylvia), sister in-law Helen, his grandchildren Travis, Dale, Alyssa, Karleigh, Alanah, and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves to mourn his wife Jean and her children Debbie, Cindy (Curtis), Wendy (Brian), Fred (Kim), Kerry (Jodi) and grand-children. Alex loved to attend his boys' hockey games in Transcona and later became President of The Pirates Community Club. He enjoyed his many years of service working at Sears and was a long time member and volunteer with the Knights of Columbus. The family wishes to thank Dr. Abdulrehman and all the nurses at Concordia Hospital for their exceptional care. A celebration of Alex's life will be held Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel 211 Regent Ave. West. Cremation has taken place, friends and family are welcome to pay their respects on Friday, February 15th from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations in Alex's memory can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Hi Gigi. I just wanted to stop by and say Hi. I really miss you. I wish you could see all of the things Alanah and I have been doing in our lives. I wish we had more time to see each other.
