KEITH PELL Peacefully on February 8, 2008 Keith Pell beloved father, brother, grandfather and friend passed away at the age of 64 at the St. Boniface Hospital. He was born John Keith Pell on May 4, 1943 in Ontario to John and Mary Pell. He was the oldest of three children. He was predeceased by both his parents; son Michael. He is survived by his daughter Christine (Kevin) Steinke; brother Michael (Tina) Pell from Burlington, ON; sister Lynn (Ray) Kranyak from Cayuga, ON; his grandchildren, Corbin and Kaylin along with many nieces and nephews. At an early age Keith was on his own and on the road. For 30 years Keith drove transport truck for almost every company imaginable. He managed to see the world one load at a time. Through a mutual friend he met a woman named Maureen who had a daughter Christine. The three of them travelled throughout Canada, wherever his job would take them. In his late thirties his love of bowling would take flight. Maureen and Keith along with friends would join a Friday night league at Academy Bowling Lanes, which was 5-pin. He was then later introduced to 10-pin. Thus his first love was revealed. He lived, breathed and talked 10-pin. His love grew so much for the game that he decided to become a youth coach. His second love was golf. With the help of some tips from his brother-in-law and the guys at LaSalle and Lorette Golf Courses this too became his life. So much so that he asked for a job at these courses just so he could learn and practise more. If you ever needed to find him, all you had to do was phone LaVerendrye, Chateau Lanes or check the greens. Unfortunately, his heart and his diabetes would make him stop what he loved so much. Keith was also known for his unique character and sense of humour. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. The family would also like to extend their sincere gratitude to Keith's friends Brian and Jeanette Wright and their family. Over the years they would take him in and make him part of the family and watch over him. They provided much more than can ever be described and for that, we thank them. The family would also like to thank staff 4B at St. Boniface Hospital for all their hard work and wonderful care over the years. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, February 15 at 1:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J. COUTU CO. 680 Archibald St. 253-5086
