DAVID ALAN BLACK (AL) May 31, 1936 - February 5, 2008 Suddenly on February 5 at the age of 71, while visiting in the Azores, Al peacefully left this world. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Darrell (Sandra) of Edmonton and Kevin (Kerri) of Calgary; their mother Lila, and his grandchildren, Christopher, Kimberley, Shawna, Kurt, Kent, Zachary, and great-granddaughter Abigail. He is also survived by his brother Donald (Evelyn) of Vancouver. Also by Betty-Anne Resendes and family in the Azores, and Lisa-Anne Stewart (Dave) and family in Winnipeg, who adopted him as dad and Grandpa. He was predeceased by his mother Lillian, and his father Sherman. He will also be sadly missed by friends and residents at 30 Chesterfield Ave. where he resided. Anyone who ever met Al will never forget his humour, his honesty and general acceptance of, and attitude towards everything and everyone. Interment took place on February 10 in Santa Maria, Azores. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Your smile will always be with us, and our love with you.
