Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILMA COOK (nee WILSON) Ended life peacefully at Oshawa, February 13, 2008, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Bransby Plummer Cook. Daughter of the late Peter and Tikinia Naturkach of Manitoba. Beloved mother of John and his wife Linda of Whitby, Peter and his wife Pat of Nepean and the late Monica Leslie. Cherished grandmother of Ben, Karen and Louis. Dear sister of Ann, Mary, John (Jack) and Dorothy, all of Manitoba. Predeceased by sister Nettie and brothers Mike, Nick and Billie. Graduate of the School of Nursing, Winnipeg General Hospital, 1946. Worked as V.O.N. Winnipeg, Medical Support Churchill Mines, Manitoba, Nursing Oshawa General Hospital (retired 1970). Wilma was very active in her community, being a member of several bridge clubs, the ACW and 35 year member of the Golden Jubilee Chapter IODE, and she lent her cooking skills to several good causes. Her love of flowers was evident in her glorious rock garden at her home in Oshawa and the orchid and memorial gardens at White Cliffe Terrace in Courtice. She was an active member of Christ Church Flower Altar Guild and the Oshawa Garden Club. Special thanks to the staff at White Cliffe for their years of support, staff of T E Health Pro's, Dr. Brankston, nurses and doctors at Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa, and to special friends Bill and Marilyn Jerome. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the MCINTOSH - ANDERON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at CHRIST CHURCH (ANGLICAN), 81 Hillcroft St.(at Mary St.N.) Oshawa on Monday, February 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. A reception at the church will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Wilma's memory may be made to the Golden Jubilee Chapter IODE or the charity of your choice.
