WINIFRED (WIN) IRENE HAZELGROVE Peacefully on February 13, 2008 our mum passed away at Betel Care Home in Gimli at the age of 92. Winifred was predeceased by her husband John and her brothers and sisters, Gordon, Cecil, Leslie, Janie, Gladys and Edna. She will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed by her daughters, Kay and Lynne (Frank), and her extended family and friends. Mum was born in England in 1916. In 1937 she married our dad and spent the next 43 years being a wife and mother. She had numerous interests but her real love was painting. She was a member of the Women's Institute and had tremendous fun participating in the shows that were put on for the community. In 1980 our parents made the momentous decision to immigrate to Canada where their two daughters had made their lives. They lived in St. Vital for over 25 years where Mum made many new friends at Kenbur Gardens. At this time we would like to thank the staff at Betel who, for the last two years, gave our Mum exceptional care for which we shall always be extremely grateful. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Carole Hrehorak who always took time to remember our Mum. Cremation has already taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
